I Am Omega: The People of Omega Pacific
This is Omega Pacific.
This is Matt.
He runs our Quality Assurance department. He’s one of the many folks responsible for the gear you rely on and we thought you’d like to meet him.
After twenty years with the US Coast Guard, Matt retired and returned to Spokane County with his wife and four kids. He built a house, took up beekeeping and came to work for us. As a Coast Guard officer, Matt was in charge of quality control and earned his Masters Degree in Quality Systems Management, so it was a great fit. He swapped helicopters for climbing/rescue gear and went right to work.
Every day, Matt and his crew test and inspect materials, work-in-progress and finished goods for quality, consistency and strength. They break hundreds of carabiners, nuts and cams every month to make sure your gear is reliable and safe.
Matt’s also responsible for maintaining our certificates with NFPA, ANSI, CE, ISO et al. to ensure our plant is state of the art and compliant with all modern standards.
We’re lucky to have him on our team.
Matt. Quality Assurance. This is Omega Pacific.
